We had a chance to showcase our models for the Fashion Project Season 2 at the Perth Convention Centre. New models, previous models from Fashion Project 1 and already beauty title holders come together to parade in Femia Buendia Design and House of Sandra Mak.
Femia dressed all the female models. She is based in Western Australia also known as Femia Nastassi was born in the Philippines. Her pride in being a Filipina is evident in her design and detail. Femia is a couturier who design and handcraft all her garments. These bespoke creation are quality controlled from drawing to the fitting stage, she is pedantic about the fabric quality and uses the best possible trims and material for her garments. Sandra Mak dressed all the male models. Sandra creates an African inspired colourful collection. A signature move for her that sends a message to every woman to do something meaningful and follow their passion in order to reflect happiness. The Fashion Show played part in the Philippine Independence Day celebration held at Perth Convention Exhibition Centre. Along with other talented performers from Western Australia.
One of the highlight on the show is the Prima Ballerina Candice Adea from West Australian Ballet. She was trained in the Philippines and has won International competitions.
Candice Adea was the first Filipina to win at the Helsinki International Ballet Competition taking 1st Place, Senior Women’s Division in 2012 and won a Silver Medal at the USA International Ballet Competition in the Senior Women’s Division in 2010.
The main act of this night’s show was Cyrus Villanueva. Who entertained the crowd while they danced with his songs.
Cyrus is a Filipino Australian singer from Wollongong, New South Wales. His Father, Isagani Villanueva is from Cotabato City, Philippines and his mom Tracey Villanueva is Australian. Cyrus was inspired to sing by his father who is a professional singer. He is best known for winning the seventh season of The X Factor Australia in 2015. His debut studio album Cyrus was released on 9 December 2015.

All the models, audience, organisers and coordinators had a great night witnessing the runway. Our models came from different cultural backgrounds such as Filipino, Australian, Italian, French, Germany, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
